Personal safety
Public buildings with increased movement of people and occupants, such as banks, railway stations and airports, are vulnerable targets for terrorist and CBRN attacks. Effective security analysis is therefore needed to protect people and buildings.
Detection devices such as TIMON can continuously monitor air quality, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When a chemical threat is detected, the TIMON device issues an alarm indicating the threat and its concentration. The device's output can be configured to take corrective action to protect building occupants, such as closing air intakes. Along with these corrective actions, the alarm system informs the security service and allows evacuation procedures to be initiated.
Devices such as the RoadRunner or DE-tector flex can provide security control at shorter distances. In open areas such as stadiums, concerts or festivals, Bruker introduces the RAPIDplus. It is designed to identify chemical weapons and toxic industrial chemicals and boasts the most extensive real-time detection library in its class. With ranges from a few meters to several kilometers, the device can be deployed in a wide range of situations.
