Analysis of microparticles
With Fourier transform infrared microscopy, the infrared spectrum can be measured anywhere on a sample with very high local resolution (up to 5 - 10 µm), allowing complex multiparticulate compositions to be analyzed and automated distribution statistics for heterogeneous mixtures - our software enables automated selection measuring positions and subsequent automated measurement and creation of this statistics.
In combination with a focal-plane-array detector (FPA), large areas can be analyzed at the same time to reach spatial resolution of up to 0.5 µm. This is the best spatial resolution of FTIR spectrometry on the market. No wonder our instrumentation is the # 1 choice for microplastic applications.

Our SENTERRA II and RamanScope II Raman microscopes can be used very well for microparticle analysis, which can measure with a spatial resolution of up to 1 µm (depending on the diffraction limit) at 100 spectra / s.
